Lloyd Mead is an experienced lecturer both in special educational needs, and in information technology, at Lambeth College, a specialist careers college in south London. He is a MirandaNet Fellow. His projects have been published by NFER, and by the Journal of Assistive Technologies. He has been invited to present his classroom projects at the Institute of Education, UCL, BETT, and ITTE. His special interests are in developing literacy, especially oracy skills, and to this end, working in collaboration with Lawrence Williams, he has been exploring the deployment of the Scratch visual computing language (1.4, 2.0 and 3) as a presentation tool, with his Lambeth LLDD students aged 18 to 24 years.
